The Social Justice Center on Willy Street, founded in 2000 as a shared office space for nonprofits including the Tenant Resource Center and Progressive Dane, is going through an extensive renovation process aimed at making the building more open to the community. To celebrate the completion of the renovations and make a final fundraising push, the Social Justice Center is hosting this benefit show. Some of the acts are TBD as of this writing, but so far it's shaping up to be an interesting lineup. The absurdist pop ensemble Cribshitter is pretty much always worth catching—songs like "Mall Pretzel," "Where You Going With That Hard-On?" and "Dolphin Supernova," both from the 2015 concept album Acapulco, combine lavish production and crafty songwriting with bizarre lyrics that often swerve right into 12-year-old bathroom humor, and the band's live sets tend to be weirdly staged spectacles in and of themselves. Also set to play is Cool Matt, aka former Phox member Matt Holmen. —Scott Gordon
